During this interactive presentation the audience will get to assess their current school culture and learn ways to build a welcoming environment that promotes community and family engagement in the future. The session will have collaboration time within their tables, handouts, examples and online resources shared to provide the participants tools to use in their classroom and school. The session will also explore some social and emotional learning and Culturally responsive teaching and learning strategies to build on a positive learning environment for students to thrive in.
